Nokia 5530 Firmware Update – v30.0.009

Finally after Nokia 5800 and 5230 major firmware updates, 5530 got kinetic scrolling in menus, via firmware v30.0.009. Although, this the most notable change there are few more improvements as noted below -

Nokia 5530 Firmware Changelog -

Kinetic Scrolling in List as well as Grid Menu.

Performance Improvement.

More free RAM on boot, for better multitasking.

Software Updates -Web Browser, Music Player

Software Additions – Shazam and Ovi Sync.

Nokia 5530 firmware can be updated either via OTA (over the air) update or via Nokia Sofware Updater. For second method you have to install Nokia software updater in your PC and attach 5530 via USB cable in PC Suite mode.
To remain on safe side, fully charge your phone and take you phone memory backup, prior to updating firmware.

NOTE – Nokia 5530 firmware v30.0.009 is not hackable. If you wish to hack your phone, don’t update.

Hey. When I try to update my 5530 it says there is no update available! Do you know what’s wrong? I have 20.0.080

i wish to have seen this blog before upgrading my firmware, now i’m struggling to hack my phone but it never worked. Please inform me if this firmware becomes ‘hackable’

for “update not available”, just go to Nokia Care and DONE.. latest firmware is 31.0.005 for nokia 5530 XM.
