i bought my 5530 just a month back…and that to from mumbai where the prices r always like skyscrapers…in just 12,600 and now the price has dopped sown to 10,400 … u can even get it from vijya sales at the same price… in india … !

I would go for the 5530 because of the nice design
and WiFi. But it would be better if the 5530 had GPS and 3G
but it doesn’t matter that much

it’s depends upon the preferences of the people. i’m really contented with my 5230 no matter what are the pros & cons of this phone as long as it have many features. by the way, nokia 5230 can handle as much as 32GB of memory…

I completely agree with you. At the time of writing this post 5230 was just announced and i was not sure if it will provide good sound quality comparable to XpressMusic range.You can check its review here, i have mentioned its excellent audio quality through earphones -

Also I forgot about GPS. For many people GPS and 3G are much more important than WLAN.

How do you know that? Have you tested it quality-wise? Because I think you are being fooled by XM brand and do not have any idea how actual tests work. GSMArena have tested 5230 and turns out that its audio quality is bettern than 5800 and 5530 and is a match for iPhone 3GS. Also 5530 does not have 3G which is ridiculous. For most people 3G is much more important than WLAN. Most of the time wherever you have WLAN access you already have a computer to use so there is no much need for browsing on your cell phone.

The only drawback of the 5230 is its ugly design which is identical to 5800′s.
